Dateline Tallahassee...

Top Story:
Bicycle Shop discovers market for new items and quickly places them for sale.

Damn Good Bikes in Tallahassee Florida is a new shop. While smaller than some of the more established shops the owner, known only as "Mike", tries to provide "Damn Good Bikes at a Damn Good Price."

This week his philosophy changed, hopefully for the better. Instead of providing Damn Good Bikes for a damn good price, his shop will now carry other items of interest to bikers, items like bags, pedals, tires, and bicycle computers.

"Through extensive research and a very costly survey process we have learned the bike riders like to have tires on their bikes and that they like to be able to propel their bikes using their feet." Mike said "It sounds kinda weird but that's what the research shows."

The study also found that people like to take small items with them on bike rides and that they liked knowing how far they've gone. Both results were revelations to Mike, a long time bike enthusiast and first time rider.

"I was stunned. Who would have thunk? It's like people wanted to actually use their bikes and not just carry them around with them. That's why I changed the shop's philosophy. We now provide damn good bikes and accessories at a damn good price."

While the new motto may be somewhat more unwieldy than the old one, those visiting the shop were quick to embrace it. "I think it's awesome!" mechanic Austin Boyle said, "It's like he took the old motto and made it better. I did the same thing with a pair of socks once. The old pair was just white and I drew a star on each one. I think the star made me go faster." [To read the complete 10 page interview with Mr. Boyle please visit his website].

Others weren't too happy with the change. "WTF, now I have to talk to people about all these little things too? I didn't sign up for this!" said long time motivational speaker and webmaster Bryan Webster. "It's a good thing Mike doubled my speaking fee last week or I'd so be out of here!"

If you're interested in viewing the new items, Damn Good Bikes is located at 652 Capital Circle NE across from the Women's Prison and will be open this Saturday between 12pm and 7pm and this Sunday between 10am and 4pm. Reservations are not required but bringing friends who like bikes too is strongly recommended.
